(a) Recap: Construct triangles, equilateral triangles, perpendicular bisectors, angle bisectors, perpendicular from a point on a line, and perpendicular to a line from a point not on the line.
(b) Construct a hexagon.
(c) Appreciate that a locus of points is a set of points which satisfies some criteria (e.g. a distance of 10cm from an object).
(d) Identify loci for (i) a fixed distance from a shape (ii) equidistant from two points (iii) equidistant from two lines.
(e) Find loci for compound shapes (e.g. fixed distance from a rectilinear shape).
(f) Identify loci regions, e.g. less than a specific distance from a shape. Combine regions from multiple criteria.
(Used for the Tiffin Year 8 scheme of work. Does not include loci.)
(a) Construct triangles given SAS (Side-Angle-Side), ASA, SSS.
(b) Construct perpendicular and angle bisectors, angles of 30, 45, 60 and 90, and the perpendicular from a point on a line.
(a) Draw the front elevation, side elevation and plan from a 3D shape, and vice versa.
(b) Draw 3D shapes on an isometric grid.
Producing drawings on isometric paper.
